Here is a fun and super EASY preschool matching game perfect for fall and learning colors.
Materials needed

2. Cut out baskets and each of the individual apples. *Note: When I cut out the baskets, I left the space underneath the handle and then cut a slit at the top of the basket part--creating a sort of pocket for it.
3. Next, layout the baskets and all the apples in front of your child. Mix up the different colored apples. Then have your child match the apples into the coordinating baskets. They can slip the apples "inside" the baskets through the slit at the top.
As your child sorts the apples into each basket, you can point to the letters on the baskets to help your child recognize the names of the colors written out. Matching the colors and sorting them into categories helps your child with early cognitive skills such as early numeracy and literacy.
