Easter is just around the corner and there are so many fun possibilities of things to do with your kids. One thing my kids always love to do is to bake with me, and these little chocolate nests are the perfect cupcake topper for any Easter party you might be going to this weekend. The kids will love helping you put them together, and will love eating them even more!
What You'll Need:
-Chocolate
-Plastic Ziploc Bag
-Ice Water
-Candy Eggs
1: Melt your chocolate in 30 seconds increments in the microwave. Make sure to stir between each 30 seconds so that the chocolate doesn't burn.
2: Scoop your melted chocolate into a ziploc bag.
3: Snip a small section off of one corner of the ziploc bag and squeeze the chocolate over to that corner.
4: In a small bowl, pour in some ice and water.
5: Pipe the melted chocolate straight into the ice water in circular motions, creating the nest.
6: Use a fork to take your nest out of the water and put it on a paper towel.
7: Place one chocolate nest on top each cupcake, and add a couple candy eggs to complete the look!
*Activity Notes:
- to get the eggs to stay in the nests, use a little dot of your melted chocolate to use as glue!
-make sure when you cut the tip off of the corner of your bag to do it as small as possible, so that your kids don't squeeze it all out in one squirt.
-we used cadbury eggs, but you could use any kind of egg shaped candy, even jelly beans!
