Paper Plate Animal Masks:

Here at The Preschool Place, we are ALL about creative play. Anything that gets their imagination running! This activity starts as a little craft, but then turns into a cute prop that your kids will play with for days. It's a total mom win!

What You'll Need:

-Paper Plates

-Scissors

-Colored Paper

-Glue Stick

-Tape

-Sharpie or Pen

-Popsicle Sticks

1: Cut the rim off of the plate and save it for later.

2: Cut out eye holes in the plate.

3: Have your child choose what animal they want to make and what color of paper they would like to use for it!

4: Use the rim of the paper plate to cut out ears and tape those on.

5: Have your child take their desired paper color and rip it up into little pieces. Work on those fine motor skills!

6: Using the glue stick, have your child attach the ripped paper onto the paper plate.

7: Use the sharpie to draw on a mouth and add some fun details to your child's mask!

8: Lastly, use the tape to attach the popsicle stick so that they can hold it up!

*Activity Notes:

-If your child isn't into animals, try making something else! A superhero, a monster, a princess, etc.

-If you don't popsicle sticks, try using a plastic straw or a chop stick!

-These definitely don't have to look perfect. Your kids will just have fun doing it anyways!
