Raindrop Counting

Updated: Jun 1, 2021

We've had lots of rainy April days here in Utah and we're loving all the green grass and blossoms on the trees.

Plus all these spring showers have inspired us to get creative with our counting practice! Today we made little umbrellas with numbers on them and made raindrops for counting out the corresponding number on the umbrellas.

And guess what?! I've provided the pdf file below so you can try this with your little one at home too!

It's a super simple activity that will sure to get your child having fun while counting! Enjoy!

Materials

-Raindrop Counting sheets (file found below) -- includes numbers 1-10.

-Scissors

-Tape (optional)

  1. Print out Raindrop Counting pages.

  2. Cut out umbrellas and raindrops.

  3. Optional: stick tape on the back of raindrops. (This also would work really well if the umbrellas and raindrops are laminated.)

  4. Have your child say the number on the umbrella then count out the proper amount of raindrops--sticking them on the umbrella one by one.

  5. Repeat for each umbrella!
